Images in Mas90

Hello guys,

Great Forum.

I know you can install a link to images in inventory management. But using customizer can you include and image to a form. I want to be able to view the item in inventory without clicking the link each time while I scroll inventory items. Is it even possible?

Also, with crystal reports would I be able to then include the image with each line item on invoices and sales orders.

BTW using MAS90 2002 and Crystal reports 8.0

Is the image a separate file or part of the database?

It appears to be a separate file. Only the link TO the image.

What version of Crystal?

I believe crystal XI can take the path to the image and display it automatically.

Prioer to crystal XI, the image itself must be stored in the database to do this.

Could I store the images in a second database file made by excel and some how relate these?

OK..I upgraded to Crystal reports v10.0.

The sole purpose is to print images of the items on the picking tickets and/or sales order.

When I upgraded and changed one of the forms I get this error.

Crystal Error: Unable to open the specified report (err/ret=2/0) occurred on line 170 in program swcocx

Any help?

P.S. I also am still looking for a way to show images in inventory management automatically without clicking the link to the image.

Is it even possible? Any idea the cost if I pay someone to do this mod?

MAS90 uses Crystal Reports 8.5. Crystal Reports 10 is not compatible with 8.5. You can go from 8.5 to 10, but not the other way around. The report can no longer be opened by MAS90. If you backed up the report, copy the backup over the report you changed in CR 10. That will solve that problem. Also install CR ver 8.5, don't use version 10.

You can added pictures of your items to the standard forms if you put the images in a database supported by the version of Crystal supplied with MAS. I have done this with MS Access, however the images are held in Access in a bit map format and may result in a large database.
