I'm fairly sure the answer to this question is NO but here it is just in case there is a solution.

When saving images into your web folder can you specify a default images subfolder. At the moment I either move the images directly in beforehand or annoyingly have to repeatedly find the images subfolder from root every time a new image is saved. Or am I just too lazy?

Nice idea! Unfortunately my own answer is NO, but I like the idea! And your are not lazy :)

BTW what program do you use to create and save images?

Thanks anyway !

I use Fireworks for my graphics so I guess saving them directly to "images" is the best shortcut.

A "Format Painter" (MS Office style) would also be a handy addition....
