image as background of word file

How can I put an image as the background of a word file and type on top of it.

also if I want my page to be 1/2 of A4 size -- how can I change this?

Hi ecalbert,

1. Add the image in the header and then change the layout (right click and "Format Picture") to "behind text" and position it where you want - hey, presto!

2. Change the page size in File > Page Setup. Or are you wanting to print two pages per A4 (in which case what version of Word?)

if I want it to be 1/2 of an A4 (as if I took an A4 and fold it in half landscape -- do you know what I set it as under page setup?
