I have a bunch of IMACs on my network. My server is running DHCP. What seems to be happening is this. It seems that the IMACs lock up IP addresses and the client name is "Bad Address". Has anyone else had any experience with DHCP supplying addresses to IMACs???
Are you running OS9 or 8.6?

Try trashing your TCPIP prefs first of all and then in TCPIP control panel specify the ip address of the DHCP server.

That usually cures our problems.

I'm running OS 8.5 on the macs. Also, I'm not sure i understand what you mean about trashing my TCP/IP preferences. All I did was to go into TCP/IP and specify a DHCP server and IP address.

Either way, I do want to thank you for your help.
