Hello All.

I moved. I know, big deal you say. Anyway, I'm a dinasaur with 56K dial up. A 500 mHz Imac. Internal modem. Worked fine in the old place. I tried to get going in the new place and I get all sorts of modem problems. First It couldn't find the modem. Now it can't recognize the dial tone. I am sure the phone line is active. Speaking of active appletalk is unactive. I don't even know what kind of modem is in this machine. When I activate apple system profiler it just tells me that a modem is on. When I searched the extensions and control panels all I could find is one little old extension called modem. Hope this is enough info for some recommendations.

Thanks,

Bucky

Are you using OS 9.x or OS X?

Jeff C.
A+, Net+, MCP, MCSA

If all else fails, read the directions.

Yes, that would help to know. I'm using 9.1
