During installation of Citrix Metaframe XP appear this error:
IMA service failed to start with error 2147483649 and failed to load plug-ins and in the event viewer appear this three errors:

-The description for Event ID ( 3601 ) in Source ( IMAService ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The following information is part of the event: 80000007h.

-The description for Event ID ( 3609 ) in Source ( IMAService ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The following information is part of the event: MfSrvSs.dll; 80000007h.

-The Independent Management Architecture service terminated with service-specific error 2147483655.

I have W2k Server with SP3, and I have more servers with the same caracteristics and funtion properly.
The connection with the Ima DataStore test it's succesfully.

And if that fails try "dsmaint config" read the "dsmaint config /?" info and fill in the blanks. Remember to use full path names etc.

Cheers
Scott

I can´t do dsmaint because this error occurs during installation and don`t finish the installation of citrix, and I don't execute this command.

Any ideas?

What is the data Store ?

SQL, Access, Oracle ?

I have found this error most times on SQL I don't tend to get it with Access.

It is basically a login failure.

I will look at one of my remote sites and see what I have got setup in the ODBC connection.

Cheers
Scott

The DataStore is in a SQL server, and during installation, when connect with the data store, the test it's succesful.

I think I´ve seen this before at a customer.
When the installation fails if I remember correct you must manually delete datastore registry information and then start the installation again. I don´t have a Metaframe infront of me, but you should be able to locate it, just do a backup first(as always..)

Well that was a complete waste of time. The ODBC connections are not exactly full of info.

I know it is a bit of a fargle but how about this.

You could try the above suggestion, but I reckon it will fail with the same result code. But try it anyway.

Then try creating with an access database and then follow the destructions to migrate to SQL. I know they work!!

I am now trying to think of any SQL installs that ever worked, without migrating.......... but I can't.

Cheers
