ok i have a dell dimension 2350 it has a onboard video card that i cant disable i just got a Nvidia gforce 5200 pci card. i installed it sucsesfuly and got it workin for gaming but i cant use the s video port on it because of the old video card. i just told the comp. to use the new video card as the primary monitor so the olde one is still active resulting in my problem.

can some one please help me disable the old video card?

Can you find anything in BIOS setup to disable "onboard video"?

um were would that be? my cousin told me to disable it in perifials but i dont know how to get there can you help me?

A lot of times onboard cannot be disabled. All you can do is tell Windows to ignore that device by setting it as "disabled" from the device manager.

I just added an FX5500 video card to a friend's Dimension 2350. The first thing you need to do is upgrade your BIOS to version A02. You can download this from the Dell website using the following links:
Bios version A02 addes a new option, "Primary Video Adapter" to the "Advanced-> Peripheral Configuration" BIOS menu. Change the setting from "Onboard" to "Auto" and save your settings. That's it! Install your new video adapter, plug your monitor into the new adapter and boot.
Good Luck...
