i put in recovery disk in my computer and now it says my video card is either corrupt or damaged. my computer looks like its in safe mode all the time. no color hardly. computer says i have only 16 bits and im suppose to have 256. what do I do ? helppppppppppppppppp

try this:

1)uninstall your video card completely.

2)restart.

3)go back to the add/remove hardware wizard, and if your video card is listed, return to step one. otherwise, go to step 4.

4)install the most recent drivers for your video card

5)restart

6)if its still screwed up, go back to step 1

I've had this problem before... thats how it works for me... its annoying.

1)uninstall your video card drivers completely.

2)shutdown

3)remove your card from computer.

4)restart (it will give you some error beep´s)

5)put the card on again

6)restart

7)must detect on your bios and on windows startup

8)install the most recent drivers for your video card

5)restart

6)if its still screwed up, go back to step 1, change slot or buy a new one, theres nothing you can do more. be sure that you are installing the correct drivers and the slot is working OK
