Illutrator installed - won't start

I have installed Illustrator along with photoshop, acrobat and indesign. Every time I start Illustrator I get loads of error messages saying:

Font Capture: Illustrator.exe Entry Point not found

Then naming something which is missing from the dynamic link file.

I think it may have something to do with the other products as it works if I uninstall photoshop. Does anyone ahve any advice.

I too am having the same problem when opening Illustrator CS. The program still works but, these errors are buggin' the crap out of me.

Have you found a fix yet Laura?

Judging by Laura's post date, I'm not sure if she'll be following this thread, still.

Fonts frequently causes error messages on start-up, especially if you have too many installed and active at once, or if there's a corrupt font somewhere. Explore that, and let us know if you come up with something.

Make sure that any antivirus software is disabled before installing ILL. For some reason ILL, of all Adobe apps, has a nasty habit of getting messed up when installed with Antivirus software enabled.

It's usually best to disable all antivirus software when installing siftware, to prevent problems.

Disabling my antivirus and repairing Illustrator works great. I probably should have thought of this before. I have another program that will not install right with the antivirus enabled. Thanks for your help.

I do have alot of active fonts(over 1000)but I haven't had any problems so far. Like I said above, it was the antivirus thing, but thanks for your reply.
