Hey everyone,

I'm not sure if I'm missing the obvious or what...When I try to transfer illustrations from Illustrator 9 into Pagemaker 6.5, they print out less than desireable. What's the deal? Is there a special way to export and import? To place so it maintains the vector quality? What am I missing?

confused.

Your best bet is to save the Illustrator file as an EPS graphic and place that into PM. PM6.5 does not handle AI files well, PM7.0 handles them better.

The image will display sort of pixelated because in PM the graphics shown are really only placeholders, but your printed page should be fine as long as you are printing to a PS printer.

If your doc is not intended for prepress, but going to be printed in-house on a bubble-jet or a lazer printer.. then your best bet may be to convert it into a TIFF file and place that.

hope this helps When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.
