Bought a new computer with Windows XP SP2. Installed Illustrator 9.0 on it. Monotype Corsiva font does not appear in the list of fonts available in Illustrator even though that font is available in Word and in Photoshop 6.0. How do I get Illustrator to recognise the font? I see MTCORSVA.TFF in C:\Windows\System\Fonts.

Funny, because I was just using that font about 10 minutes ago and made the mistake of looking for it under the M section rather than the C section of your font list.

You're not doing the same thing are you?

Did you upgrade to 9.0.2? I seem to remember there were font issues that were fixed with that update (must get 9.0.1 first, then 9.0.2) but even if it's not that, 9.0.2 is a good idea. Have you checked to see if there's a dividing line after "Z" with fonts under it? Is it in that list?

Thanks, Dimoj: I made the mistake of looking under M instead of C.
