Illegal Error Access DB

We have a huge (read 10000 entries) access database that has a strange error happening when we attempted to open it today. It simply acts like it's open, but it's not - it's just a blank screen on access. After a period of time an illegal operation message is displayed.

If anyone has any ideas would be most grateful

Get the JetComp.EXE file from micosoft's web site..download it and then run it..this will compact and repair the database. This utility will fix a wide range of errors just like this. DVannoy
