I just started at a new company and after rebooting the server, my Intranet and external email access does not work.
I have no documentation on anything that has been done here.
Any suggestions??????

A few questions.

What kind of O/S is this machine?

Do you run a firewall (if you can find it)?

Is it DHCP or static IP?

Does it have an internet IP or a internal network IP?

That should getus started

Jason

The OS is 2000 Server Running IIS
I have a cisco router.
Static IP on the server
The local Intranet should be running on a internal IP
The webpage has an external IP.

Thanks'

Have you tried

or

on the machine itself?

Also a few more questions

Does this machine belong to a domain?
Do you run an internal DNS?

When you say external IP does the machine have more then one NIC or does the Cisco do NAT?

Jason

If I type
is goes to our web page
If I type is goes to our Intranet site
This machine does belong to a domain, and we do run an internal DNS.
The machine does has 2 nic cards in it.

Thanks

Thanks for your help but I found the problem,
All the host headers were deleted.

Thanks Again
