I have a virtual web in IIS 6.0 on W2K3 that has been setup to create daily log files. The has worked up to a specific date and then the log files have stopped getting generated.

If I stop this web site and create a new virtual web site, the log files are being generated.

We have not been able to get the original virtual web site to generate log files. We have tried resetting properties, set the properties not to generate log files and then set it back to setting log files, etc. but nothing seems to work.

Any idea what is going on?

Thanks,

Gabe

Check to make sure you have enough hard drive space. Then check to make sure you have correct log settings.

1) Expand IIS
2) Right-click website then select Properties
3) Under WEBSITE tab check Enable Logging
4) Then click on Properties for logging
5) Make sure log schedule is for hourly or daily
6) Note the log file directory path
7) Click the ADVANCED tab
8) Put a checkmark next to all log items or log items of interest
9) Click OK all the way out
