Hi,

I have an Intranet website running on windows 2003 IIS. This website can be reachable from the internal network but not from the Internet. This website is not like the other websites on the IIS and is not going to be for public use.

The same server also serves for the other public websites configured in the IIS.

What kind of configuration do I have to do in the IIS for this special website not to be seen from the Internet ?

Any help is appreciated.

Regards!

Just make sure that there is no mapping from your firewall to the address the web site is running on in IIS. If the firewall doesn't have an incoming rule for the IP address no external clients will see it.

Thanks for the reply...

Do you mean the software firewall of Windows or hardware firewall?

Is there any settings for my case in the IIS?

Regards

No settings in IIS - just make sure your intranet site is on it's own IP address.

And I mean on your hardware firewall - the generally your default gateway.
