Please all of you gurus out there..I need assistance. I am a basic IIS user. I can create virtual directories to have things seen within my company.
Problem:
Box A (Win2k Server-internal Static IP) has serveral internal web services/sites running
Box B (Win2k Server-internal Static IP) runs our intranet
Box C (Win2k Server-external/internal Static IP) will run a portal we are now implementing
Box C is up and running and the outside world can connect to it...
I am having the "darndest" time getting them to see the internal apps on Box A and B..
Please help me.
so right now we have web clients running so that users can type in
\\servername (Box A)\webclient
or they click on a pre-conditioned icon already set with
example: \\web\joeblow\default.asp
or they just type in http:\\intranet
where the DNS entries are set
HOW CAN I :
set Box C up with virtual directories or whatever the best way is to see these same services from INTERNAL BOXES
NOTE: opening Box A and Box B with external IPs are not an option
Box C is part of the domain as well as Box A and Box B
this is not a conventional Active Directory situation because we use Novell
so our main DNS runs from Novell
