hello, i noticed my IIS is not logging people on my webserver. i have set IIS to log in W3C format but when i try to check C:\windows\system32\LogFiles\W3SVC1 the folder is empety, i had friends from all the world try to access my page but no logs are made. why is this ?

Does the checkbox beside "Enable Logging" have a check? If yes, click the Properties button and check the log file path to make sure it hasn't been changed from the default.

yes the checkbox is checked and the default is set to C:\WINDOWS\system32\LogFiles but under that in gray text it say "logfile name: W3SVC1\exyymmdd.log

still when i check the folder W3SVC1 it's empety. i tryed to change to hourly login for testing, but that didint work.

I had this same problem when I set up my server.

Try going to the 'Home Directory' tab and make sure 'Log Visits' is checked.
