My IIS cannot open the default web page. I am running nt server 4 with IIS 4 and service pack 6. I get the IE Error that says the page cannot be opened. I checked in services and my is running.

THanks Deklin [yinyang]

Deklin:

2 things you may want to try.

1. upgrade to service pack 6a for nt4.
2. verify permissions on the IIS folders. The default IIS user is IUSR_<computername>, I think. I'd start with giving everyone full permission and throttle down from there.

Good luck.

I have service pack 6A installed and gave full rights to everyone. ANy other ideas? Deklin [yinyang]

Did you check under Site Properties, the default page of the site? IS it the same that you want? A+, MCP, CCNA
