I am hoping someone can help alleviate my confusion.

How does IIS link to a Sharepoint site created with Frontpage?
Within IIS http:\\companyweb gives me 404 NOT FOUND

but has site developed in Frontpage and working fine.

I don't see any reference within IIS to newhomepage.aspx.

Any help or insight would be appreciated.

In front page you are looking at the site not the aspx file. Maybe you don't have rights to view that page. I'm not sure about how security plays into it but I'm sure that if you don't have admin rights to that server you can't go in and start poking around in the folder structures on the SharePoint server.

I have admin. rights on server...where would the files be stored?

How does IIS know where to find newhomepage.aspx.?

It is not referenced at all under website "companyweb"

Someone else created this site using Frontpage and I am

trying to get my bearings such as file/site location and

configuration.
