Hi there,

I have an IIS 6.0 web server hosting mutiple production web sites.
The C: partition on this server keeps filling up with IIS log files in c:\windows\system32\logfiles .

I have two questions:

1. Can I change the log file directory for all the web sites at the same time by opening IIS, right clicking on "Web Sites" and changing the web "Log File Directory" setting to D:\logfile (for example)
2. If I change the log file location will the web sites be affected? I mean will the web sites stay up while the change happens?

Many thanks,

You can set it at Web Sites but it will give you a list of those sites that must be slected to be overrideen because they have a different log location.

You can set each Web Site indicidually. The new log is atrted immediately. You should do some testing but I do not believe that it will restart your web site.
