I just set up an iis 5.0 server, and i am trying to host a website, but when every some one tries to come to it, it asks them to logon to the network, with a username, password, and domain.

How can fix this?

Any help is very much appreciated.

Allow for anonymous access to the page. Under the properties of the site>directory security>Anonymous Access and Authentication control>Check the box for Anonymous access.

Also check to the that the folder where the site resides has permisions for everyone.

Try that... Hewissa

MCSE, CCNA, CIW

Right click on your website in ISS Information Services and choose Dir Security and choose edit, and check mark Annoymous sccess, and for the accout choose Iuser_servername

Got, Got

Thank you, for your help, but i just tried that and it still gives me the same screen, i even tried unchecking integrated windows authentication and it just gives me and "error: access denied" message.

I don't know if this would have anything to do with it, but i just installed that hisecweb.inf template and i think that it is causing these problems, but i don't see why it would do that.

Any other suggestions?

if the folder that you are sharing is not in the folder then you will have to add Iuser_sername to the security permissions on the folder you are sharing. Then it will work

Cool it works, thanks alot for your help, i really appreciate it.
