Hi, I am having a problem with IIS 5 on a Win2K server. I cannot run ASP pages correctly on this server. I have recently uninstalled and re-installed IIS on this machine. I have also installed the latest version of MDAC on the server. The problems occur when I run an ASP page which connects to a database (either Access or MS SQL 2000) Either I get an HTTP 500 internal server error or the ASP script is returned as text on the screen. There are never any specific errors to do with the database connection itself. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,

I'm having the same problem with win2k sp3 and IIS5.0.

Did you solve the problem, If yes, pls send me some help to altair@agel.com.br

thanks,

I'm having the same kind of problem.
I installed W2K with IIS4 and ASP will not be executed. It does not recognise .asp files altough I installed frontpage sever extensions.

I'm trying to solve this problem for more than 3 month now.

If you have any sugestions, they will be most welcome.

Ciao, Guido

To run asp files you need to set up a virtual site in your
MMC snap in for IIS - Right click default web site and select new -> virtual site. A wizard will guide you through the process. When this is done access the site in your browser as virtual site name/xxx.asp
