iis 5.0 mmc not starting, access denied

i've got this problem with iis5 on my win2k server,
it was working fine, and a month ago,
i cannot open iis mmc,
it had error connecting to my computer name
and then it said access denied (error 5)

i checked the services associated with iis, all of them are working except ftp publishing service , i cannot open the properties of it, it has accessed denied,
(it started is started though)

any idea about whats wrong with my server, i tried removing and reinstalling, still same thing,
do you thing it has anything to do with the iusr and iwan username, or maybe security issues/policies,

i've been checking and trying everything but no luck yet.

(1) Are you logged in as Administrator when you try these?

(2) Are the other MMC's working correctly?

(3) What did you do last before this problem started happening?

i'm logged in as the administrator
all other mmc is working correctly,
it's really hard to say what i did before it started happening,
i added the security patches,
i was trying some settings on the different policies(but i've reset them back to default)
also i think might needed to change my password awhile ago.

is there anyway to remove the whole iis and reinstall from start,cuz the regular remove and add does not help

also, read about using cscript to sychronize the password,(synciwam.vbs) but it would not work for me, says its that ttheres' not script engine for vbs extension.
