I am having a problem on serveral servers geting this error:

Error Code: [19:599] Description: Loss of control process ifind.exe. Possible causes: 1. The control process has unexpectedly died. Check dr watson log or core file. 2. The communication to the control process machine server name might have gone down due to network errors. 3. If the machine server name is a cluster, it may have failed over. 4. The machine server name may have rebooted.

I've restarted the services and still get nothing.

Can anyone help?

This is happening because one or more Simpana processes is dying unexpectedly or because of comms problems. You should find more info in the (very verbose) log files on any one of the CommServer (CS), Media Agent (MA) or client machines.

Try stopping and restarting the Simpana services on the CS, relevant MA, and relevant client. Even better, reboot those boxes if you can (as sometimes a problem lies in the OS not in Simpana).

If that doesn't fix hte problem, you probably have comms interruptions. Check firewalls, routers, n/w outages, etc. Check OS system logs too.

I would try Craig's suggestions first but I have found that numerous times a simple uninstall and reinstall of the client on the problem machines will resolve this issue.

Please, check it out the FileScan.log.
Are you solved it already?
