Hi all,
I've searched this forum for a while to find my answer and I didn't quite get it.
I have an Exceldocument with two sheets (sheet1 and sheet2).
On sheet1 I have some data with a key in columnA and a name in columnB.
On sheet2 I have some other dat with a key in columnC and the same name in columnD.

Since the names don't always match (entered by different persons) and it's very important for my company to have the names matched I want Excel to check if the names match and make some sort of report of what names don't.

I tried to use Vlookup, but it didn't work out.
Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks in advance.

Not sure if this is what you want, but I might try this:

=IF(AND(A1=C1,B1=D1),"Same","Not same")

Any good?

Can you give some sample data, or send me a copy of the spreadsheet at jim.hill@procollectortips.com
hopefully I can help.

Jim

Thanks for the reply's.

The communication here isn't always at it's best so during the time that I tried to fix it in Excel, someone else just printed both sheets and manually fixed it. Since this is a one-time activity I don't need it anymore.

Sorry, and thanks for your time.
