Two of my clients are having this problem: click on a link in a document and IE jumps to some site other than the one stored in the link.

Opening the link shows it has not been altered.

A good PC jumps correctly.

Perhaps a dns related issue? Are all machines (working & non-working) on the same network - aka the same dns servers? On a problem machine, try opening a command prompt and typing ipconfig /flushdns. Then, with all IE windows closed, try the link again.

The two PCs are totally unrelated and in fact are in different towns.

I have scanned these PCs with Adaware, Spybot, AVG Antispyware, AVAST antivirus but nothing shows as a problem.
