Since updating to IE7 when I go into my hotmail account I get this pop up warning.

This website wants to run the following add-on: 'MSN Messenger Service' from Microsoft Corporation (unverified publisher)'. If you trust the website and the add-on and want to allow it to run click here....

Is this safe? What does it do? So far I have ignored it! Why is Microsoft an unverified publisher?

Hotmail & Messenger have been interacting together for quite some time, so this doesn't surprise me. It sounds legitimate & I think that I've seen something like that in the past. Does it happen before or after you actually log in?

After login & before opening each mail. What is MSN trying to do? Is it useful?

this is most likely just a small add on for msn messenger accept it so it wont come up no more. I work for MSN trust me i know. lol.

hope this helps.

Luis
