Using Internet Explorer 6 on Windows XP Professional

Internet Explorer Windows is maximized but is not at the top of the screen. There is about an inch of the desktop before the top of the IE window. It is maximized and you can not stretch it or move it. You can minimize the window and stetch and move it all you want, but once you maximize it again, it goes back to the same location. The problem is you are missing the same amount of space at the bottom of the screen when you scroll to the bottom of a page. Please help!

Thank you.

That just happened to me..I fixed it by doing the following:

Start>Search>Select all files and folders>
More Advanced Options>
Search hidden files and folders>
Type in IE.inf

Right click on the folder and select install.

This should repair the IE installation

Reboot computer and reopen the browser..this should fix your problem

Is that the same as Control Panel > Add/remove programs > IE > repair ?
