IE6 will not open or save attachments

Downloads and attachments suddenly stopped working the other day. If i download any file through IE6, it does not save the file, and I can't even open it. I have the latest version of IE.

Could it be spyware or virus. Are there any settings i can doulbe check? Thanks, Mark

First, follow this MSFT KB article:

Then run MS-MVP Ramesh's IEFIX:

http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/IEFIX.htm

(You can uncheck the option to do an SFC /Scannow)

Reboot and test.
