Whenever I click on a link that opens up a new internet explorer window, the window opens but doesn't load. When the new window opens I see the top of it but I still see the other IE window, in other words I don't get a new blank window. If I copy the link the and paste it into the address bar it'll connect so I know it's not the link. I don't think I'm low on RAM cause I have 1 gig of RAM and I don't really run many programs also I don't think it's my internet connection because I use DSL. This never happened before, I just started having the problem about 1 - 2 weeks ago. Don't know if this information makes a difference but I'm also experiencing the same problem when using the AOL browser. Also when I press CTRL + N and open a new window, it loads. It's only when I click a link that opens a new window that doesn't work. I downloaded Netscape, and I don't experience this problem with it. BTW I'm running Windows XP TIA

An idea to try a dll registration as mentioned in many threads , e.g. thread615-539657 ?

I had the same problem after running an April '03 Microsoft critical update.

I tried the dll registration (thread 615-539657) with no luck.

I then ran mcrepair.exe (thread 615-539657), accepted the older dll files and the links load fine!
