Backup the registry and/or export the following keys:
go to Start>Run, type regedit. Navigate to:
HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions and delete the NoBrowserContextMenu
entry.
There's also a policy for the desktop and right-clicking on the taskbar.
Look for these entries and delete them as well:
NoViewContextMenu and NoContextMenu and NoTrayContextMenu
Thanks all. Just too much trouble at this point. I reverted to IE5 and went on from there. I still use Netscape6 and Opera6 <--- which is still the fastest sucka out there that I've tried.
Maybe if Micro$haft gets its browser sh*t together, it will fix this --- but then again MS gave us "Microsoft BOB" <g>
I too once lost my right-click options in MSIE (5.5). For me it came about after I'd attempted to edit a few text lines within the system file SHDOCLC.DLL.
So to fix, I restored my previous unaltered copy of SHDOCLC.DLL.
(Wanted to post that just in case anyone else ever happens to run into this sequence of event.)
