I am using IE 6, update version SP2 on a laptop. It has a wireless card which works fine.
Recently there was a new DSL line installed and I hooked up to it, shutting my wireless card off. But when I click to open the IE browser I get a message in the bottom left "Connecting to site 10.8.8.18", a couple of progression bars in the lower right and then after about 15 seconds a completely blank/white screen. If I manually enter a website I get error messages implying that I typed the site address into the Google search bar.
If I turn on my wireless card I get the same symptoms. It makes no difference.
But if I disconnect the patch cord for this new DSL line, and turn on my wireless card, I have no problems getting onto the Internet. Everything is working fine.
Is there a setting or switch I can check for to resolve my problem? Or, is it something to do with this new DSL line?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
