IE6 crashes when saving picture

When I right click on a picture and choose save picture as the save as dialogue box comes up, I choose a folder(does not matter which one) and Internet Explorer crashes. There is no event log created the program just hangs for a while then completely disappears. (MSN Messenger 6.1 does this as well when I try to add a picture to my profile).

I used to use Firebird to save the pictures but now it did it to me too.

Specs:
Acer Travelmate 803LCi
1.6 Pentium Mobile
Windows XP SP1
All current hotfixes applied
Internet Explorer v6.00.2800

Any ideas?

Try cleaning your cache. I've had strange write-errors once because it was full.

That did not fix it.

I have tried that in the past... cleaning out Temp folders, internet cache... everything I can think of.

Someone mentioned a while back that if you have Adobe Photoshop 7 installed that can cause it. He said right click on the properties tab and choose do not use thumbnails but where he said to look there was nothing there.

Any more ideas?
