Guys I cannot open the following site, as well as bmw.de and bmw.fr, the broadband version. Everything works right with Firefox. Any help please?
A blank page appears and a warning icon at the bottom left appears. Clicking it the following shows:
line: 95
char: 6
error: object expected
code: 0
URL:
Please note that any other site with flash or java or anything else displays OK with IE6.
What can I do?

I agree with Dan, its good to use firefox 99 percent of the time. It is much safer and secure.

As for IE, id update flash and java to the newest verion's out and download any windows updates available.

i am looking at it as a hobby. i agree that since firefox works and its universally agreed that it bits IE there is no reason to use IE anymore.

But ain' t there anybody who could tell what kind of error is the one I get? Is it only for this website or its a general problem with IE in my system?

i also noticed that in the url tab, even if I erase all cookies, files, history, autocoplete -EVERYTHING, the bmw choice appears when i have typed the I went to the typed urls registry and there is nothing there but the deafult key.

Any ideas just for researching and hobbying reasons

Feherke, reason I said 99 percent of the time, you can not update windows using firefox. You must use IE for that lol. Thats why it says 99 percent instead of 100. That and some sites still force you to use ie instead of firefox, very rare but they are around.

Im not sure why you are getting the problem you are getting, that is why I suggested you update flash , java and other things just to see if it helps.

Also the location in registry for internet explorer if you wish to take a look around are as follows

Hkey local machine, software, microsoft, internet explorer, click on main to where its highlighted

Hkey current user, software, microsoft, internet explorer, click on main to where its highlighted

Usually they only force me to use the User Agent Switcher extension... Many of such sites not really need Explorer.

Feherke.
