I have very little SMS experience but, we have SMS and it runs sporadically at best. All users have the login smsls.bat run when they log on. I wanted to push out IE6 and the latest security patch through SMS, however, I know that well over half of the systems will not get it installed. I was looking to add the IE6 setup, via the IEAK, into the smsls file to alleviate SMS's faultiness.

Time is an issue as far as how soon this needs to happen. Bandwidth will not be an issue and dependent on the users IE version, the patch may be as little as 2 MB (it could also be as large as 26MB). Any pointers on where I can add this into the smsls file, or should it be a seperate file itself? Or can anyone point me in a better direction? Thanks for all who respond.

SMSls.bat can work, but is not a great solution. Instead, I'd suggest getting better acclimated with the Software Delivery system. Companies have great success with software deployment through SMS. While no delivery system is going to be perfect due to factors outside of the system, SMS can get you to a 95% success rate.

Thanks Rod, I appreciate it. I will look through the ebook, for which link you've provided, and I 'll get back to you in a couple days.
