IE will not open web sites except for home page......

Hello everybody,

I have a machine at work that has windows 98 OS. It has IE version 5.5. I have YAHOO for my home page. Sometimes I will type an address in the address bar and it looks as if it is going to open the page but somehow it reverts back to the home page (yahoo). Even when I type something on the search bar, then chose a link from the results, it will do the same thing and display the home page(yahoo).

If anyone has seen this before please let me know. Thanks in advance....

Did you try fixing IE with its repair tool in System Information/Tools?

Actually, no, I haven't. I'll try it and tell you what happened. Thanks for the quick reply.
