IE STILL SLOW 1

I've tried many solutions but none seem to help fix the problem of the slow browser, IE6 and its only on my wife's computer not mine..It seems that when I type an address in the address line , it takes aprx 3 minutes to load the first page and sometimes 1-2 minutes for each page thereafter. Occasionally, the page will load in 10-30 seconds, but its rare. But I also notice that the bytes sent are substantially less than bytes received9this seems to hold the key)???I 've tried pinging and tracert, but all seems normal..I've also tested the modem.Also is I go to file and click workoffline the page will load much faster like it should normally.I've also replaced winsock dll and used the repair for IE6. I need help with this frustrating problem.

Have you tried running Adaware ?? Solved it for me.

An even better fix that works 100% of the time - use Netscape 6.2 instead... I tried a zillion fixes for the IE bug and this was the only thing that worked.
