IE hyperlinks blank

I have a Windows XP laptop and when ever i'm at a site and click on a hyperlink, the separate window comes up blank.

I've run virus scans, spyware removers (adaware, spybot, ewido) and windows update. Nothing found.

This has happened on a XP SP1 and SP2 machine so far.

I factor I should mention is the drag and drop feature of Windows wasn't working. I have a reg fix for that but the hyperlinks still don't work.

I forgot. IEfix & winsockfix didn't work. Hijack this showed nothing unusual.

I don't think its IE. I believe its spyware or a trojan...

any ideas.
