Hello All,

When an user tries to view CR report over web they are getting the CR Viewer but the report doesn't gets displayed and they are getting a Error initially while loading which reads as :-

"The Seagate Software ActiveX Viewer is unable to create it's resource objects. To rectify this problem, please install Internet Explorer 4.0 or install DCOM for Windows 95 and the latest Microsoft Scripting Engine. These files are available at Microsoft's web site."

When the user click OK the viewer is displayed but the report is not displayed.

Any inputs will be highly appreciated.

Thanks
Sri

Hi --

How was this problem solved? I found some other "solutions" that said to delete CRVIEWER.DLL and let it reload from the website. While it *did* download the ActiveX DLL, it did not resolve the error for my user.

I also tried the procedure linked in thread 784-418857, but it produced the same results.

Thanks

~Tony

I am getting the exact same error message. How was the problem solved? Thanks for sharing!

I had the same error. I looked in IE under View Objects and it didn't show crystal reports viewer. But it didn't prompt me to install it. I tried copying and registering crviewer.dll and that didn't fix it.

HERE'S WHAT FIXED IT: I just went to a DOS prompt and unregistered the dll with regsvr32 /u crviewer.dll

The next time I tried to view a report, I was prompted to install the Crystal Reports Viewer.
