IE crashes whenever a new entry is to be added to a list

Whenever I try to do certain things, such as add a new entry to a list, Internet Explorer hangs up on me. It doesn't matter what list it is, every time I click 'New Item', I get a dialog box saying that "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close." How do I get this Sharepoint site working again?

i had similar issues like that with MOSS07. I was using IE7 and MOSS07 but with the 03 office suite and i had errors all the time like IE hanging up and errors but I recently went to office 07 and everything works great now. I'm not sure if that would be your solution but it did wonders for me.

I don't know if that is a viable alternative for me... I'm maintaining my current site for my job... they may not want to upgrade just yet.
