I have a problem with IE 6.0. When I try to use the View Source option it doesn't work! Actually it does work fine on a local HTML page (one located on my PC) but when I try it on an actual page from another web site, it just seems to ignore it. I also noticed (although perhaps unrelated) thet privact report is grayed out on a local HTML page 9kind of makes sense) and is active on a web site page. At one time I think the view source was working on web pages but I can't remember doing anything that might have turned it off. Help -- anyone have any ideas about the possible cause?

I should have added to the above message that I am running Windows 2000 professional

Check out my post in thread 608-210805.
reL Tools >Internet Options 'Locked'
perhaps your issue is the same...

woof!

thanks for the reply. One question though - if the problem is in the registry entry, I wonder why it would only occur when I am displaying a page from the web and yet work fine when I am trying to view a local HTML page?

Also, when I looked at the registry in my Win 2000 Pro system I could not find the enrty that you mentioned in the other reply - that is, the noviewsource which I assumed is the one that would cause my problem.

Thanks
