I was using it yesterday without any issues, however, I wasn't doing a full functionality test, just some admin and the guy who normally sits there had installed IE7 (our standard is IE6).
Then Click on Custom Level for the Trusted Sites zone and do the following :
Under the ActiveX Controls and plug-ins heading, ensure that Enable is
selected for the following ActiveX Controls and plug-ins:
- Allow Scriptlets (applicable on Internet Explorer 7.0 only)
- Initialize and script ActiveX Controls not marked safe for scripting
- Run ActiveX Controls and plug-ins
- Script ActiveX Controls marked safe for scripting
Under the ActiveX Controls and plug-ins heading, ensure that Enable is
selected for Automatic prompting for ActiveX controls.
OR
Ensure that Enable is selected for Download signed ActiveX controls.
Under the Downloads heading, ensure that Enable is selected for the
following:
- Automatic prompting for file downloads
- File download
Under the Miscellaneous heading, ensure that Enable is selected for
Allow websites to open windows without address or status bars.
Then Under Internet Options -- go to Advanced
- Under Browsing, clear the Reuse windows for launching shortcuts
check box.
You should also go to Internet Options -- Privacy -- Pop-up Blocker -- Settings and add
Nortel made an exception to support IE7 on SWC 4.5. When I say exception, it's because SWC 4.5 is in sustained mode so they really weren't obligated to do so.
In order for your client PCs running IE7 to successfully access SWC 4.5, make sure you install SWC_4.5_SU07S and SWC_4.5_SUS0701S.
