I had a crash on my Pent. III 900 mgz running Win 98. I re-installed Win 98, however, IE 6 will not run. I downloaded IE6 still No Go. IE6 Error says pronlem with CSCORE.DLL - HELP !

rogvan,

Reinstalling Windows 98, means getting back an older version of Internet Explorer, I BELIEVE it's 4 point something!

I would try this:
1.) Find the "Windows Update" folder, (on the c root, or perhaps "c:\program files"), and delete everything in the folder.
2.) Dump your Temporary Internet Files.
3.) Now re-do the IE 6.0 install from the Windows update site.

Go to and download IERADICATE.

Then run it and all traces of IE will be gone. Then using another browser, opera is my favorite, download IE6 if you must. :)

Windows 98 has version IE 5.0. Agree totally with Kento on the comet cursor. Try uninstalling 6.0 and then reinstalling. Haven't heard of ieradicate but if it does as said, after uninstalling 6.0 use it. Rob
Just my $.02.

Just a note here. I saw on another board that rogvan fixed his problem by reverting back to IE 5. But I don't know if he has comet cursor installed. He hasn't emailed me back.

Problem fixed - I'm back to IE5 - I got a tip to go to Microsoft, they had a workaround for Uninstalling IE6. I think I'll stick with 5 it seems to work well.

Thanks for your help,

rogvan
