IE 6 toolbars and homepage errors

I need to know if there is a script or a config file that loads everytime I log off my system for IE 6.

Here is the problem.
Members of my family went to a website that installed a passthru window on top of my IE 6 window. If you check internet options it has modified my home page. I have set the correct page up once again. But everytime I log off or restart this passthru again has added itself to my home page.
How can I fix this?

A toolbar has been added to IE 6 also. I unselect the toolbar and lock the toolbars but it also reloads.

Any suggestions?

WHast do mean "passthru window?" Can you be a little more specific? I'd guess...somebody's done some late night browsing they shouldn't have?
You've got something locked onto your browser, very likely, and it should be fairly easy to purge it for good.
Download SpyBot (

and use it. Keep it around, it's an essential utility anymore. AdAware is also a good piefce of freeware, if you're interested (

This happened while downloading MP3's. The pass thru is a window that is attached to the bottom of my browser. I can change my home page to whatever I want. I log off my system and restart the computer open my browser and it has appended my homepage in the Tools|Internet Options|General|Address.
I will try the ad aware app.

Downloading MP3's is risky biz, varying by source. There are different viruses that proliferate at different sites, Kazaa being the worst by far. If you download a lot, you absolutely must keep up your antivirus AND run scumware sweeper(s) regularly. AdAware is very good, but, IMHO SpyBot is better. Good luck...
