IE (6 or 7) closing right after start? -- FIX

An interaction between Yahoo Toolbar and recent Microsoft security hotfixes can lead to this behavior. IE will either exit with seconds of starting, or freeze.

I believe at the moment for IE 6 you have to uninstall the toolbar with Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs.

For Internet Explorer 3 Beta, there is a hotfix for this issue from Microsoft:

It seems to be that some add-ons cause this problem:

go to tools>manage add-ons and disable the ones or run ie with all add-ons disabled.

Especially this one: WebCGMHlprObj seems to cause it.

Unfortunately the ie7 gui only lets you disable trusted add-ons and not remove them, does anybody know how to remove a TRUSTED add-on in ie7?
