IE 5.5 locks after 4 or 5 sites usually when clicking on a link

IE 5.5 locks after 4 or 5 sites. It usually happens when you click on a link or just before the new site is fully loaded. Sometimes you can end task and have to restart IE 5.5 other times locks right up and have to reboot. I have used the Internet repair but it does not fix it.

It documents many similar problems to yours. The bottom line is that the solution has really not been found yet. My suggestion is go to

http://www.netscape.com

and download Netscape. You will probably not have the problem with Netscape.


By the way, I have always been a Microsoft fan until this incident "broke the proverbial camel's back."

Why don't you try reverting back to IE 5 or 5.01
I'm using it right now with no problems whatsoever
