When I enter IDU at the REQ command, I get back the info I'm looking for, including the NT manufacturer part number. What in that part number tells me whether a 2616 or a 2008 is a display set? Also, what tells me whether a 2008 is a speaker phone or not? Does anyone have a list with the Nortel manufacturer part numbers and a full description? If so please let me know. Thanks!

Thanks cmawbey for pointing me to that site with all of the Nortel docs. It's a great site. But I found no more information with regard to Nortel manufacturer part numbers for the telephones than I already had. When I did an IDU on a set yesterday it came back with:
ARIES TN 028-1-03-08
TN ID CODE; M2008
NT CODE NT2KO8XH
COLOR CODE: 03
rls code: 08
To reiterate my question. what in that NT CODE tells me if this is a display set? A speaker phone? Color code 03 means what? I have to determine what kind of set my customer has. Then I have to get a set from inventory, give it to a tech, and have him drive across town to install. Its a real pain when he doesn't get exactly the correct set. Anymore help will be appreciated, from anyone.

Thanks this info was very helpful! Now I just need to know how to identify it as a M2008 Speaker phone or as an M2008 Display phone. Any help in this direction would be appreciated. Any vendors out there with this info?
Thanks.

M2008D is display
M2008DHF is display with handsfree
M2008 Basic

The M2008HF nt number endeds in AD then the color code
The Basic ends in AA
The Display only no HF ends in AC
I got this by looking at three different boxes
Hope it helps

Well I just pulled up some phones in one of my switches and I don't know what to tell you. I've got some that end in XH,
you'll just have to dig around in a manual and see. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Thanks Woodro and acewarlock for your help. Now if I can just get that Nortel Parts List CD. I used to have the actual sheets. It filled a 3-ring binder. Can anybody help me procure that item?
