Checking a server running IDS9.30.TC2 on W2000 server - I've noticed a huge number of informix_**** files, where **** is just an allocated number. The size of the files varies massively - from 0 bytes up to almost 2G. They're appearing at various times of the day but seem to be in blocks of 10 or more at a time.

Does anyone have any idea what these files are? I suspect they're temporary files of some type, but why/how are they being generated? Can they safely be removed?

Thanks.

Turned out the files were output from 'sqlidebug'.
No assistance needed now.
