Hi all,

I have a problem with NetWorker 6.2.
We have to unload tapes automatically after backup is completed.
The parameter idle device timeout in the autochanger resource is set to 1 (which acording to the online help should unload tapes after 1 minute of idle-time), but the tape is never ejected automatically.

Has anyone any suggestion?
Thanx in advance!

Bye,
Ruediger

I had this problem as well and found that automatic unload only works if drive sharing is used.
I worked around this by using a short script.

mminfo -q "pool=yourpool,savetime>1days ago,location=yourjukebox" -r "volume" > tmpfile
for /F %%i in (tmpfile) DO nsrjb -u -j yourjukebox %%i

Your write the used volumes in to a temporary file.
The nsrjb command unloads the Media by using the volumename.
I don't have any problems even if the volume is unloaded
already
I run the script using the system scheduler at 6:00 AM
The backup should be finished at that time.
You may have to modify the query parameter above to match
your needs.
Hope that helps
Jens
