IDLE BUSY AT IP TRUNKS

Hi,

We install 55 exchange programmed with IP networking facilities. All of these sytems are BC12 sp7. At one of the switch we couldn't find any traffic case for the reason but IP trunks are going line state BUSY. After reseting the TLP65, TLP60, ELU32 board and initiating an incoming call to this trunk and release. Line state goes FREE. This exchange have only tandem calls switch in the system. Calls from the IP trunks pass through the SL60 trunks.

Did somebody faced this type of problem. Do you have any advice except updating the switch

Did you tried getting a trace and analzye it with signal trace interpreter? This may help...

Hi,

It's not possible to catch the fault. In a day it's state is chaning and we don't have chance to get an enough trace log. Because it's fulling immediately.

we have the same problem in BC12SP9, restarting TLP65 and DTR solves the status. A metrix report is open at E/// for this problem. be aware that the "IDLE BUSY" status can sometimes be normal (transit cases) make sure the trunk is really hanging (do susip for a minute and see if the status changes).

hopefully this will be fixed in SP10...

Looks like there is nothing about "idle/busy" in SP10 slogan.

In SP7 we had massive problems with "idle/busy" on ISDN (AU application).
Getting better after upgrade to SP9.

In any case, you know first rule - upgrade to latest SP - SP10.
Yes, I know this will be pain in your case

avstral, SP9 doesn't solve the problem.
as I said, the metrix report is still open so there is a real chance that the patch won't even make it in SP10... .
